Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Tab Active, a ruggedized version of their Galaxy Tab 4 8.0. The tablet features an anti-shock covering that protects it from drops as high as 1.2m. It is also dust and water resistant with IP67 certificate.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a 8.0-inch, 1280×800 resolution LCD, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot, 3.1 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera, C-Pen stylus, 4,450mAh replaceable battery, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
